Just joined, looking for someplace to go since the shed online is shutting. Own a BMW K 750, its sitting in the garage awaiting a top coat. Presently full time carer for the missus, so its going to wait a fair old while I suspect.

Welcome CSTER from Art Wombat I sold my historic 72 BMW about 9 years ago when I bought my Boulevard Cruiser. The brakes were a disappointment on the BMW but the Historic Club was really great. I tried Ulysses but there was too much who was doing who and who had not paid - whereas the historic MC Club was all about the bikes. Anyway welcome there is plenty of categories for discussion.

Everyone seems to be starting their own thread, it is probably a good way to get started. Anyway have fun, meanwhile, I am trying to contact Admin Clem and prolific poster Turtle. MOT is a bit deserted except for us rats from the sinking ship SS SOL.

My pleasure MadamT (and whatever else you are called around the place! larf!) I hope I can keep up with all you new blokes, some of you, I think are known by a variety of handles too! Please let me know if there are any new major topic threads you would like created. Actually, in a min I'll set-up a sub-topic where people can suggest anything they would like to see here re Subjects.
Thanks MadamT for inviting the blokes over, I, for one, am really looking forward to hearing about their interests.

Welcome to 'cuppa' new peeps. I think you will all be a welcomed breath to this site. Enjoy what is on offer and have fun. Thanx for that mate. We too can offer you in return. I see that, from reading, that you're a bike guy and you like to go on rides. I used to ride a bike when I lived in Calcutta, but that was a long time ago. It was a Bullet, I think maybe ... ummm ... 500cc? .. I put hi-rise handlebars on it, like easy-rider style. I had a ball with it learning to ride, I had never ridden before. But many near death experiences made me realise that my love and need for speed would not last long if I chose the bike path ... heheee ... so I sold it. It was a 1972 Royal Enfield. But anyway, I wander and dither ... We, the gatecrashers, on the weekend of June 3(fri) to 6(mon) are meeting up, some of us for the first time, in the Bunya mountains. (2 hrs from caboolture, or 1.5 hrs from Esk) If you got a sleeping bag we have room for you. Alternatively you can just come for the day. I have a shack up there. It is plenty big enough and still some privacy. Greg

Thanks for the offer, Greg but no travel for me for a few months. The Bullet I remember. I think there was a UC member riding one to the AGM from down Adelaide way some years ago I met. His first bike too and he was enjoying it very much even after it fell over onto his leg and exhaust left it's brand on him.
