Islam as a religion cannot expect to be tolerated while they make war against the establishment
They have been on thin ice and I think they just broke through.
It is cheaper to get rid of them then lock them all up - maybe the USA should send them to Alaska.
They could build a giant Mosque for them and offer them DIY igloo kits.

I recently received an email reporting that a woman who renounced Islam has stated that their goal is to have enough citizens in Australia, Britain and the US within 20 years to be able to vote in an Islamic government and introduce Shariah Law. With due respect to those who deny religion, I say God forbid. The religious tolerance or apathy towards others will be our downfall.

OMG. You are paranoid and under the sway of the most amateur propaganda. And you're both old man. Jesu.
It's simply amazing, how people whose bags are filled with fright are so gullible. Go and pee on some other forum, one more conducive to hate. I just sent you both 25 emails each, each one stating the wonderful benefits of Islam. That should, in some small way, make up for the email that Peter received stating that we will all be dominated within 20 years by some unknown monster.
Terrorism is not Islam. Terrorism will bring casualties. Expect it, get used to it, it's not gunna vanish tomorrow. Stop squealing. Try and retain rational thought. You know, that crappy ol thing you both got hanging on your lounge room walls written by that ol fool Kipling, and printed in coloured cotton on black velvet, 'If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you. If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for .......'
Show a little fortitude.
if you start another thread of hate, or continue your hate mail in this thread, then just remember: This is not the kiddies wading pool anymore. Russell is not your life-guard. You're in the big pool now. I'll nail you both to the forum wall and I won't stop until you convince Clem to ban me.

Whooor, hate mail and threats, jeez your way better at controversy than Art ever was. Before you nail anyone to the wall please have Art paint it, some real life scene should do. Anyone ever wonder where all this comes from? ?? I reckon out side the obvious, there is an underlying need to shun Americanism and live in the culture we had. Anyone see any of that in the mess we are in. Also I think the Chinese started it, they moved to every nation first, its a means of protection, if they were to have a giant earthquake in China then the rest of them could go home and claim that China is still China. There seems to be a reason we were not all put in the one place.

No. I'm not having a bad day. Col and Peter are having a bad day. Islam as a religion cannot expect to be tolerated while they make war against the establishment They have been on thin ice and I think they just broke through. It is cheaper to get rid of them then lock them all up - maybe the USA should send them to Alaska. They could build a giant Mosque for them and offer them DIY igloo kits. This is Col's considered judgement on the Orlando Nightclub incident. Altho he doesn't mention that. What evidence does Col have that this was a concerted terrorist attack by the muslim faithful? None, no one knows. The gunman is just another fool driven by what he hears in the media, the news, and how that distills into his brain. He could have been driven to this by a Trump speech. And then it would be a christian motivated crime wouldn't it? Would we then ethnic cleanse every christian amongst us? Did Col even pause for a moment to check his sources before he rushed to start this ILL-NAMED thread. Col has a degree in journalism. The first commandment in journalism is 'Verify your source before publishing'. Why is this a muslim crime? And you tell me ... What's the difference between Col's post and a Trump speech? Col's post reeks of ethnic cleansing. Just pretend Trump is ranting from his pulpit and he is screaming out Col's post word for word. See? Is there a difference? Col's says he doesn't put much thought into his posts. He just shuffles the letters up on his scrabble board and goes for the word count. He says that is how you contribute to forums. There is no need to read what others say before replying. You just throw something in. It's all about quantity, not about quality. Col has a degree in journalism And look what his scrabble board has produced above, a post by Donald Trump. Peter says that 'smut' is beneath him. Peter's idea of smut is someone like Billy Connelly who says 'phuck'. Peter doesn't swear, that would be smut. Neither do the two Ronnies swear, they are not smutty. Peter lives in an egg shell in Surbiton, he's never left it all his life. Peter said recently that a 'foreign national' who was recently involved in a car accident should be locked up without trial. Despite the fact that it wasn't murder, possibly not even manslaughter. He should not have been granted bail, not because there was a danger of him committing the offence again, (the reason bail is not granted) but because Peter wanted him in jail. So does Mip. They want this guy's punishment to start now, immediately, forget about proof, the media have supplied all they need to know to send this man to jail. They want that man's blood to temporarily quench their own fear. Because he is foreign and (possibly) muslim. That's reason enough. It's possible Peter even thinks Liban is a muslim state. When the foreign national was released on bail, Peter called into question the combined knowledge of the entire judicial system and found that altogether they had no intelligence at all, none, and he could do better. Peter doesn't mention all the other fatal accidents that have occurred this year. Just the one that involved a foreign national. Peter wants all the road rules changed across Australia to suit the suburb of Surbiton as it was back in the 50s, when he was a child. It's safer, warmer that way, without progress. People are frightened of change. Don't break their eggshells, you'll expose them to the winds of change. Peter got a letter, so did Mip, basically informing them that the whole world will soon be run by Muslims, or at least ISIS. This was obviously genuine, there was no need to look further, so they never checked the source. That would take time, and it was right anyway. Their fear drove them to repost, full in the knowledge that it was the right thing to do. Something has to be done, the sky is falling down and it's raining muslims. (jesu wept) If you want to promote ethnic cleansing, racism, white-australia policies, vigilante law, insular knee jerk reactions, patriotism, to all that you consider not of your particular kind..... you know, the kind you feel safe amongst. Then I will reply and I will expose those posts. I will dismantle them so that everyone can see the real fear inside them and it's true source. Because fear is all these posts are born of. They are promoted and spread thru emails and daisy chains because the correspondents who participate lack internal fortitude, they are frightened themselves and that colours their judgement. They figure by having a big group hug in their insularity they will feel much better, and that's true, they do. But they are none the wiser of the reality. It has ever been, since Hammurabi's Code, He who asserts must prove. You make the claim, I'll make you prove it. But apart from that, I luv ya's all. And certainly no hard feelings from me. Racism is of an importance above any individual and needs to be opposed, that's all. We all slip accidentally into it at times.

You failed to read and understand a Fog index of 11.13 and your reply was a fog index of 7.87. The bit about your post that I found the silliest tho, was all the assumptions you made from my 4 lines you quoted. I tried to find a name for persons who do that but this is the closest I came: "Making inferences: Readers go beyond the words in the text to draw conclusions about what is implied, not stated (Pinnell & Scharer, 2003, p. 18). You will find that I did not mention any specific incident nor did I accuse anyone of anything. Your reading is so good that you can even read words that are not there.

You don't have to be a genius to see that a lot of orchestration went into that.
I am not a hugger, but I doubt that a hugger would hug after 3 minutes of face to face with a stranger.
We have one man in our Bowls club who would tho. They used to call him the kissing bandit.

Your reading is so good that you can even read words that are not there. That's the bloody truth.

I thought it was one of them emails, ah well, we get so many of them. Still now you lot are cooling your heels, I suppose you'll have to light a fire to keep warm. I still think all this is orchestrated, in that! we are expected to react.
The internet is a wonderful item, we use it for good things like communication. It has a bad side though, paedophile rings and online radicalisation. Of the two I'd hope the former is eradicated first.
Who profits from all this destabilising behaviour anyway?
Granted Col and Pete reacted, and it is best to be proactive or on the front foot. Raising children often is all about getting onto the front foot, to ensure a good outcome. As you say Sebida, we all get caught.

Mip ... I thank you, I thank you, I thank you. I mark your gesture as the stature of a great man and your post as a signal post.
I am so sorry to have said harsh words, but sometimes only harsh words can cut thru the propaganda we are fed. People are people the whole world over and we are all one. But there are those who would divide us, patriots, popes, princes, and presidents. They want us to fall in with their own particular hatreds. Because a united force is a stronger force. And these people crave the control of force.
We are very easy to fool. Because we don't question things if they come from our own culture. The terrorists WANT us to hate Islam. The right wing who hate terrorists WANT us to hate islam. Both for different reasons but both want that divide. They want us to hate each other.
Thank you for seeing thru that propaganda.
I was hoping Col would see it too. I was hoping that Col would apologise too.
His feeble attempt at defending his opening post can be seen thru by a baby rhesus monkey. I will have to make his apology for him.
Col is not a racist. Col just made a mistake by rushing to publish before his brain had even caught on what he was up to. Col is a good man. But Col, unlike you Mip, cannot defeat his own pride. Col is a victim of pride. It's very important to know this because otherwise his actions may be mistaken for racism, and as I said, he is not a racist.
Apology made for and on behalf of Artwombat. Greg.

Perhaps it only works in your mirror. Is that where you saw him? Greg The Aussie situation that you miss with your assumptions and your ideas is this. The middle east immigrants with their customs (call it religion if you like but at the end of the day they want their own laws etc.)are not happy with the way we run our country and want us to change to suit them. We on the other hand are the worst flag wavers in the world but that does not mean we do not have our own values and preferences and not only that we do it by election and not appointment. It matters not if it can be called racist or any other name, we are doing exactly the same as them we are supporting our choices of lifestyle, and we were here first (we the greater oz are the first and only community of builders and organizers this country has ever had) but we have every right to not give that up and oppose change in any other way than we do it by voting. You Greg seem to think we the established establishment down to the individuals do not have that right. Maybe we should start flag waving and have school assemblies reciting our anthems (brainwashing the young) but so far we have not collectively seen a need for that. I have to go now but it is a bigger issue than your rant even considers.

Lotta heat here, and I've seen this thread too late to know where to come in. Maybe better to stay out of the kitchen. However ...
The Paul Weston video has certainly been doing the rounds despite it saying nothing new. There are heaps of videos around saying much the same things, and not only by people on the right. Christopher Hitchens used to say much the same and he was a hero of the left.
Of course, Paul Weston's arguments are simplistic and selective - there are multiple Islams around the world and many different kinds of Muslim. Only a small minority really want to cut your throats on the way to implementing Saudi-style Sharia, but the extremists do and they are consistent with a vicious cherry-picked version of Islam as much as decent Muslims are consistent with a benign cherry-picked version. We don't have to worry about all Muslims or even a majority of them, but the Saudi-funded Salafists are challenging us, not all with violence, but some are.
My problem with Islam is that I think it's a fraudulent narrative, similar to the fraudulent narratives of other historically-referenced religions and movements. I don't believe things happened the way Muslims think they did and the texts they rely on to build a faith-system, a foundation story and a legal system are a hodge-podge of sayings and reports without context (the Qur'an) and of very dubious historicity (the Qur'an, the Hadiths and the biographies of Muhammad - the Sirah).
Scholars, especially in the West, are becoming more and more confident now in rejecting early Muslim sources as valid historical data, and I would expect their PhD students, the future scholars, will carry on these lines of enquiry. It's hard to know how much revisionism there is in the Islamic world because a sniff of revisionism is likely to land any scholar in very deep water. However, unlike Paul Weston, who forecasts a Muslim majority in the UK along with Sharia and the whole business by 2050, my prediction is that Islam will be in a process of collapse by that date. Younger Muslims whose grandparents were born in the West and have been exposed to what remains of liberal education will have no interest in promoting a discredited and life-denying narrative. Here in Thailand I'm told that urban Muslim youth are just not interested in the Islamic lifestyle. They want to be - and increasingly are - open to the full range of life's experiences.
I suspect this will become the norm worldwide eventually. And it's not in fact contrary to the Islam of the Golden Age when Muslims wore their Islam lightly and this liberal form of Islam gave us people like Ibn Sina (Avicenna), al-Biruni, Al-Farabi, Al-Kindi and a host of outstanding scholars, including Omar Khayyam (an Algebraist as well as poet). Most of these guys were not Arabs and not Sunni (they were Shi'ite, especially of the Ismaili - more open-minded and question-friendly - school). In a word, our problems today do not stem so much from Islam as from proselytising Arabism, sponsored and funded by Saudi Arabia.
