Good afternoon Gentlemen.
This post should be of especial interest to Red750 - and any others with an interest in aeroplanes and aviation.
I've read them all and found they are quite suited to Senior Citizens. (this includes Ducky Ducati)
1. Kingsford Smith and those magnificent men - by Peter Fitzsimons - oriented towards Aussie aviation pioneers but features Charles Kingsford Smith. ISBN: 978 0 7322 8487 9
2. The man who saved Smithy - by Rick Searle - a biography of Sir Gordon Taylor. ISBN: 978 1 76011 340 7
3. The last plane out of Berlin by Jeffery Watson - a biography of Australian flyer and entrepreneur Sidney Cotton. ISBN: 0 7336 1516 3
Rating them on a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (highest), I'd rate each one at 10/10 !
Cheers, Mipela

My Dear Pali (?) (What's become of Ducky Ducati ?) Never mind. I've no great interest in aeroplanes as such. The books I've listed are more about human endeavour, about overcoming adversity that went along with aviation history - as I imagine many of your books are.
The aeroplane is just the vehicle for these stories or more properly, biographies. If and when you get to Sidney Cotton, you will very likely be moved to report your amazement here in the forum.
Reading your PSS, you have a book like the Magic Pudding, a book that makes it's own lists ? Utterly amazing !
Cheerio, Roger and out.

'Morning Ducky Ducati, Son of Pali. (? Maybe that should be Father of Pali ?) I see you've been trawling thru the forum and finally found my post of 3 October. I note also you've apparently not yet come across Sidney Cotton, that book is named "Last plane out of Berlin". Reward yourself my friend and seek it out.
I agree with your comment about "the Forums dedicated to Senior Citizens amusing, sometimes ridiculous and sometimes sad." You will have noticed I have been absent for some weeks now. Like AlanS, I became tired of reading the meaningless crap that passes for social written interaction. I look but have largely lost interest. Cheers, Mipela
