'Smith & Wesson' engineer a smart device to thwart thieves ...
an extremely efficient piece of kit, easily carried, works successfully at distances and with multiple coverage. No heavy chains necessary.

Good Morning Donaldo!! How the time does pedal/fly!! Your post was posted (for first time?) in Sept. 2014 and...it has re-pedalled at the end of 2017! Your post is proof that the drama of a stolen bike (was a motor-bike or a pedal-bike?) remains stuck in our memory. I hope and wish that you, Donaldo, have/may have received a new motor/pedal bike from Santa Bike 3 days ago!! Forge
PSS. Next Pedal expedition, You should try to pull up/ pull down or stop at a different Coffe Shop!! Our Pedal-Bike Senior Group meet at the South Western Thirroul Caffe' dei Pedalatori. We are there from 08:16 to 09:53 most Sunday mornings. If you can spare a few minutes WE could share a Latte or a Macchiato Lungo or a Caffe'Corretto. Do NOT forget to bring photos of your (ex) pedal-bike!!

Do not take my friend Forge too seriously Donald, his invitation to coffee is genuine enough (if you can find Thirroul) but his protection policies are restricted to waving his cane at all and sundry who look suss or even look sideways at his wee trike.
However... Tute offers good advice on the use of Smith & Wesson as a anti theft technique. Also, S&W were the first manufacturers to come up with the 'point and click interface' for serious lock replacements.
