This is probably only of interest to nerds like me, but in case you are interested, there is a website which contains the most astounding amount of data on every airliner that has served in every airline in Australia, from Smithy's Southern Cloud, and even earlier, to the latest Dreamliner ordered by Qantas. Most start with the placing of the order to build, and goes through all the owners until the plane arrives in Australia, the changes in livery over time, till deregistered and sold overseas to final owner if still flying, or destruction. There are many photos of each aircraft in the many liveries, here in Australia and overseas. The website is called aussieairliners.org. I tried adding a couple of sample screens, but the site would not allow them to upload.

Qantas is set to phase out it's last 747 Jumbo by the end of 2020 - the end of an era. The only jumbos left flying will be freighters. Moving to smaller, more economical twin engined aircraft like the 787 Dreamliner. Even the A380 Airbus's days look numbered. Boeing 787's can fly much greater distances, like Perth to London non-stop. Beoing 747 Jumbo Airbus A380 Boeing 787 Dreamliner
