My observations are: The US of A never got the 3 basics right:-
1) The the second amendment - right to bear arms for self defence 2) Their motto "In God we trust" 3) How they elect their leaders
The result
1) Turned out to be an ongoing slaughter of their innocent community that no one knows how to control, let alone stop 2) God has not helped with #1 above or anything else like cancer, obesity, poverty, homelessness to name a few. 3) They can't get rid of a leader who supports 1) and 2) above
Australia on the other hand 1) Has gun control 2) Optional God or no God swearing in of elected officials (eg Bob Hawk was a proud atheist) 3) Has a Prime Minister revolving door Policy
Ya av gotta luvit, we don't get everything right the first time but we got the 1) 2) 3), right so it is all ready steady Go - ooo.

To SWEAR has, at least, 2 completely different meanings! 1 : to take an oath 2 : to use profane or obscene language : curse
It COULD be difficult to prove WHICH of the 2 are used, when a profane/obscene language is used/mumbled…doing IT with the right/left hand resting on… the Bible!! The Australian “revolving door” system of Electing/Disposing of Presidents/Prime Ministers is FAR MORE DEMOCRATIC! More people do get the chances of getting VERY RICH and treating like fools those who have ELECTED them and...those who have NOT elected them! Pedro PSS. NEVER take TOO seriously the POLITICAL REAL TRUTHS...as "ädvertised" on Forums!!

Two meanings indeed, many words have different meanings in different contexts. Silly sausage could mean that you are sitting on an unheated BBQ plate, Attachment Deleted but it does not.

My observations are: The US of A never got the 3 basics right:- 1) The the second amendment - right to bear arms for self defence 2) Their motto "In God we trust" 3) How they elect their leaders The Second Amendment made sense at the time, and men exercised that right to form state and private militias. These were all called up in the Civil War to their own peril. Americans outside the Beltway, its networks and dependents, still cherish that right and overwhelmingly exercise it responsibly. Unfortunately, any gun in the hand of a mentally unstable person or follower of toxic forms of Islam can wreak havoc. I don't see how they can solve the US gun problem other than by requiring much stronger criteria for getting a licence and by banning high powered automatic assault weapons. Criminals and crazies, especially religious and racist ones, will still get the guns they want, and it's not easy to stamp out urban gangs and religious fanatics. Schools and colleges are easy targets for nutters with guns because lots of people are congregated in a small space. There have been 42 reported attacks** on primary schools outside the United States, and 98 on secondary schools, since 2002, many of them in China. There have even been some in Japan, a law-abiding nation with very strict gun control regulations. Australia has witnessesd knife attacks in schools in Brisbane. Most attacks, however, by gun or other means, have been in the United States, suggesting that the availability of lethal weapons is not the prime cause, but an excessive degree of mental illness and cultural tension in that country. That nutters and fanatics can access guns easily doesn't help. At Sandy Hook the shooter simply took his mother's Bushmaster rifle and magazines from her collection at home. ** Note: "A narrow definition of attack is used for this list to exclude attacks during warfare, robberies, gang violence, political or police attacks (as related to protests), accidents, single suicides, and murder-suicides by rejected spouses or suitors, as they are not the type of mass murder event that is the focus of concern." Your post sent Pedro down/into a "deep hole of scary philosophical/religious Spiritual Fear Reflections"...Is THERE Some or Things that could (possibly) restore OUR Spiritual Peaceful Piece...sorry, I did mean Peace!!
