Somehow or other I got a leave pass to bugger off on my bike for Easter last year. My darling wife is good like that. ;D So on Thursday 5 April, I rode 382 kays to a nice little place called Cooyar, which is only a handful of kilometres from Tone's. Tone and his beloved were not expecting me till the next day, so I decided to stay in a lovely little free-camp just behind the Cooyar Pub. The only problem with pulling up here was there was no mobile phone signal and so, as is my custom when I am away from home, I was not able to report in that I was safe and sound. As it turned out, my dear wife was somewhat beside herself with worry! Thanks to modern technology, she had been able to find out from our on-line back accounts, that I at least had got to a place called Cooyar, because the bank records indicated I had got fuel there! ;D I didn't know about all her worry or about her 'detective work' until the next day, of course, when I rode to the top of a hill, got a phone signal, and there were the two million message-bank messages from dear wifey!!!! Because I hadn't known all of that, I had a very nice sleep on the ground because I couldn't be bothered pitching my tent and all that stuff.

I packed up early on Good Friday morning, rode up the hill towards Tone's, got a phone signal, got the million messages from my worried wife, and rang her.
Appropriate words were spoken as to why I had not been in contact the night before and why I had not found a public phone from which to ring. (How was I supposed to have thought about that???);D
Having got that sorted, I wended my way towards Tone's place and thanks only to my trusty GPS, I found his joint!
After saying gday and stuff to Tone and his wife, I set up camp where I was very comfortable.

It was a most pleasant time at Tone's, he and Denni have done amazing work on their property. It was a bit of a worry one day when Tone was doing some acrobatics on his quad bike and got pelted off it! ;D I wasn't feeling too healthy first thing on Easter Saturday morning, so I didn't go with the others to Nanango Markets when they went. I came pretty good after awhile, so off I went on my bike to the markets and not one of the Tone crew were anywhere to be seen! So I had a good look around the markets, enjoyed a coffee and hamburger while listening to some country music, then had a ride around Nanango generally, then headed back to Tone's. Halfway back to Tone's the skies opened up and I got totally and completely soaked! ;D Through it all, it was a 10 out of 10 day.

Don't you hate it when you lose your car or bike keys??? Denni kindly helped me look all over the place for them, bless her cotton socks..... and busted foot (which she didn't have then but does have now!) The photo below shows the millionth time I looked in my jacket to try and find the things...... and there they were..... in an inside pocket! I 'never' put my bike keys in an inside pocket!!! ;D

Having had a great time at Tone and Denni's with a bunch of their family and a few other rascals, after packing-up my trailer on Easter Sunday, I rode the 504 kays home via Tenterfield, arriving home to my ever-patient wife, at 6pm.
