The other Friday 30/05/14. I was up & about before the sparrow even thought about farting; (Had the bike all packed the night before.) I had planned to be away from here; about 5.59.63am. Which I did, but after getting to Woodburn. I discovered I forgot to pack my pills. So back home I came. Which meant I didn’t get away again till about 10 to 7…Grrrrr. Fuelled up at Woodburn, then headed onwards down the coast. Next stop was a weeeee walk at Macksville, also I shoved two pie’s & a cuppa down my neck; Then onto Kempsey for fuel. I have one of the Aldi G.P.S’s on my bike, so following the destructions it gave me, I ended up in Kempsey, instead of by-passing the sh*thole of a place. (Only good thing about Kempsey is the road out.) Pretty uneventful trip down the coast, got rained on a coupla times, and the G.P.S wanted me to go anti-clockwise around all the roundabouts. Which does make for interesting riding. Other fools on the road don’t understand; I’m following directions, from some sheila in a little box. After playing with the traffic for some more hours, & getting rained on . I arrived in Hexham, & topped up with fuel again. I had the GPS set for Umina Beach, where a friend Bev lives, But after coming off the Hexham bridge, the GPS must have known something I didn’t. It told me to turn left instead of right, & headed me out towards Stockton. I rang Bev & she told me to turn around & head back to the bridge, & go straight ahead. This must have been the right way, cause the GPS had a hissy-fit, & re-calculated. There I am motoring down the motorway, & it tells me to take the Gosford exit. So I do, still going around roundabouts the wrong way, following instructions. Stupid thing sent me into the Gosford boys home; must be an old GPS. I didn’t see Rolf Harris or Garry Glitter in there either. Found some sheila who works in there, while I had Bev on the fone, trying to find out where the heck I was. They directed me (between them) to a Shell servo, not tooooo far away. Got there about 4.30pm. So I waited & tipped a cup of servo coffee (yuck yuck), down my neck, while waiting for Bev & her mate Chrissy to come & rescue me. They turned up in the car & I followed them to Bev’s place. By the time we got there, I was tired/wet/sore/cold/pissed off/did I mention tired/cold. This was my 3rd ride on the bike, & 1st long distance in nearly 5yr’s, So I didn’t do toooo badly, Was sore in the knees (Didn’t put on wet weather pants.) Lower back & inner thighs. But my foot, which has kept me off the bike for so long, along with the insurance company idiots; was great. No aches or pains anywhere. Got to Bev’s place, had a hot shower, something to eat & fell into the fart-sack, about 7.30pm. Didn’t surface till about lunch-time the next day. Boy was I whacked.
**More to come.**

Part (2) While down in the area, I was hoping to catch up with Dungies Barney & StevieB, for a run out to the Pie in the Sky & The Road Warrior. But unfortunately, we couldn’t get all the planets into proper alignment, or whatever we needed to happen. So it didn’t come about. On the Sunday, 1st June, I went out on a trivia run with the Woy Woy peninsular Yousillies branch. They met at Macca’s @ Woy Woy. Then headed out to Bensville; Then onto The Skillion @ Terrigal; At one time, I found myself being tail-end charley, behind Bev, who is only on her red P’s, but rides pretty goodly. After a while one of the women dropped back & rounded us up. Then we went onto, Crack National Park; Then up to Nora Head lighthouse. Finishing at The Swansee Pub, for lunch. Which wasn’t a bad feed, if you weren’t in a hurry. With all them wobbling about, & me doing my own sorta wobble, I fitted in. The trivia was mostly about the local area/lookouts/lighthouses/tourist spots. With me not going that far from home for holidays, I was as dumb as dogsh*t, so I let Bev do all the answers, we didn’t win, but we did pretty good, considering the handicap on answer’s she had…………………..…..Me. After lunch, they all got on their bikes & pissed off into the afternoon sun. Not even a goodbye/kiss my ar*e/ thanks for coming, they was gorn. Leaving Bev & me to get back to her place on our own. Which we managed with no problems, with her leading, & me tagging along.
The following Friday, 6th June, after numerous fone calls to Dungies Barney/Stevie/Wolf & Sarge; & watching the weather, we decided it was safer/better for Bev to drive the car, & follow along. We headed up to the Shell servo, (same one I was rescued at a week earlier.) As I was getting fuel, I spotted 2 bikes & a Landcruiser parked out in the rain. But couldn’t see the owners anywhere. After I moved my bike near the other two, I see 2 drowned rats (Wolf & Sarge.) & a dry Weasel, (he was in the Cruiser) wander out from under the awning at the side of the Servo. After the usual Hello’s/greetings/& how the heck are ya’s, we followed Barney around to StevieB’s place, where we all fell in love with his mancave, & line up of bikes. He’s gunna have to get a bigger Garage. Stevie took all our orders for coffee/tea, then toddled off into the kitchen. Next thing we know, he’s hanging out the window, with a pen & paper & took them again. Luckily his lovely wife Chrissie came to his rescue, & helped him out. We all tucked into a yummy chocolate cake Barney made, (I’m still wondering how he made the plastic container it was in, with a price sticker on it.) Was great to catch up with Stevie again, & to meet Chrissie, thank you both for putting up with a mob of wet Dungbeetles. After solving the problems of the world, & creating a few new ones, It was time to venture off again. Everyone was suited up, & I has having a hell of a battle getting a pair of gloves on which had shrunk after 4 ½ yrs in the saddlebag’s. Finally managed to get the bastards on, & off we set following Barney in the Cruiser, back to the highway.
**More later.**

Part: 3.
When we got to the Highway, Barney turned one way, We (Sarge, Wolf, Myself on bikes & witchypoo/Bev, in the car.) all turned the other way, heading northwards, towards Allan’s place @ Medowie. With Sarge as our illustrious leader, cause his G.P.S. was working goodera than mine, the rest of us played follow the leader. After playing with the traffic for about an hour & half; give or take a bit, Up over the Hexham bridge, we followed along, coupla times I thought we was lost, but we was still behind Sarge, so musta been in the right spot's. After getting rained on a coupla times, the last time being about 1 klm from our destination. We followed Sarge into Allan’s street, then did a “U” turn, (numbers in the street were in a funny order.) back to Allan’s house, as the garage door rolled up for us. In the garage there was the smiling faces of Allan & Wooliehead, who had arrived earlier in the afternoon. After parking the bikes, & hanging all our wet gear up in the garage all the customary greeting’s/backslapping & how are ya’s, (Talk about 3 drowned mice’s, Bev was bone dry, being in the car.) We all ventured into the house to meet Al’s wife Lesley, to thank her & Al for inviting us into their house for the weekend. I think we even apologised early, for any uncouth behaviour that may occur. (Not that there was any.) After a fantastic cup of coffee, & warming up in front of the fire. We heard a lot of splashing, & the sound of bow waves breaking in the street out the front, so we headed back to the garage to open the door, Just in time to see two Jetski’s go hurtling past. One kept going, as it takes a bit to stop them, when they get up on the plane, & skim across the water. The other one managed to stop quicker, then went into reverse. I have never seen one of them things go backwards so fast. Bev went into shock as well. This ski floated down the driveway, & into the garage, with Blue ably at the controls, & managed to park in the allotted mooring spot. The other one, piloted by Blue’s Man, after a while drifted down the other driveway, & into its allocated berth, undercover next to the garage, tied up to a buoy, so it wouldn’t float away at the tide change. Everyone was amazed how dry they were, when they alighted from their mighty steeds. Yahoooo, back into the dining room, around the fire again. Allan had prepared a fantastic casserole in the crockpot, which we all got stuck into. It was bloody good too, as everyone tucked in, & went back for seconds.
More later.
