Finally got mybike back together after my off a few weeks ago, I'll put a pic up tomorrow if I remember. Still waiting for mufflers to arrive from USA. They are in San Francisco at the minute. The old girl looks good as new again Now if someone can arrange for it not to be freezing cold and foggy tomorrow I shall ride it to work

Please regard this as a reminder to you to put up the pic. I'm afraid it will be freezing and somewhat foggy in the morning.... but only for a little while after sun up. Is there any major difference between your new mufflers (which are in San Francisco ;D ), and the ones still on your bike, Chris? Apart from your San Francisco ones having no scratches on them?

Chris had an off.. where's the story ? It was on facebook (the story), only a minor one, very slow, very graceful, even had time to hit the kill switch before hitting the deck. Greasy offcamber roundabout, six spots of rain on my visor, thought to myself hmmm must be careful then bang, on my arse sliding down the road

The ones on my bike are now the originals, in perfect condition but really fugly. ( My Gianelli's are rooted after the mishap) I dont find them aesthetically pleasing on the eye or ear. The new ones are titanium, with removable baffles should I wish too remove them incase I go totally gaga and think loud pipes save lives and supposedly give and extra four horses. They are also a lot lighter to

Yours is one hellova beautiful bike, Chris. I don't reckon your existing mufflers are "fugly". Will be good to see your new ones too. How are your elbows? I've heard of a doctor up Queensland somewhere who can fix crook elbows!!! ;D

They are very pretty Chris.
May I assume all the necessary bits for fitting were in the box?
How's the sound when there's a handful of throttle going through them?

All the bits were there Clem. the right hand one was a bit of a fiddle due to the fact I think the I may of bent the connecting pipe when I came off. Nothing that a bit of brute force and ignorance couldnt fix though. As for noise, not overley loud but a better sound than the oem's, plus according to the manufacturer and extra four gee gee's Havent been for a ride yet but will tomorow when I go to work. See if I can make em howl a bit lol

Having rode to work thus arvo I can report a marked increase in performance. A lot smoother power delivery from low revs, response seems a bit crisper too. Very happy boy so far

Looks good Chris, must get back on mine and see if I can do any more than 150ks before I lock up on the sports bike. Have you given it a burl yet Patch? I reckon people who can ride sports bikes any decent distance, with their head down, backside in the air, neck bent backwards and weight on their wrists, must have much better backs, neck and other muscles than do I.

My back is rooted Clem, as are my elbows,, but its thing most comfortable bike to ride. 8 hours to Bulledellahdallydooly Barneys place and it was all good. Better than Wolf, he could barley walk

That's excellent Chris, it is a great thing to find a bike which, despite our aches and pains, suits us to a tee.
With the huge variety of bikes available these days, there is sure to be the ideal one for each of us.
I didn't realise Wolf copped a hiding from riding his bike to Bulla, I imagine his new one is better.

I think that's what convinced him to sell it. He'd lined up a sugar glider or some sort of glide but that fell through and ended up with his current glider . I tried a cruiser but sitting in a more upright position just jarred the hell out of my spine. At least with a more forward leaning position and jarring doesn't compress your spine. Having Said that. 1st time I took mine to Willowbank drags for a play I compressed a disc and couldn't get off it. Finished my fourth run collected my slip and carried on out the gates and back home. Fine while I was riding but agony getting off.
