Ok so the rich get richer by promoting climate change. They've even outdone some of my more entertaining speculations. I admit saying the Universities were responsible for climate change because they need to sell more diploma's in science. Thus forcing the world to come up with grants to cover the diploma equipped scientists livelihood a bit of a stretch but this one is a doozie
Perhaps if the tropical zone had planted more coffee they'd be richer but they chose Palm oil as a replacement for their Jungle. The people from 55* Nth or Sth were already richer per person in each country then the tropics were before this Uni driven story got a hold in the minds of people who binge drink

WE are SOOOOOO lucky to talk/argue/write about WHAT younger persons DO or PLAN to do!! THAT make US feel ir & relevant to REAL LIFE...the one we are dreaming about but very difficult to live the REAL life of today and...tomorrow! WE can talk/write/discuss/argue ABOUT it!! BLESSED are the Forums reserved for the WELL informed participants, with 60/70 years of Life experiences...GONE BY!! (Pedro is ONE of THEM!!!)

Dear Epic,
In a long post all you managed to explain was your dislike for the girl. And that indirectly by the barest acknowledgement of her achievements.
You never addressed climate change except to say ‘she may be right’.
The planet is heading for disaster, scientifically proven, beyond dispute .. and you claim the main rallying point for change, for averting the catastrophe, is that she resembles a fire and brimstone preacher.
Pussycat, Pussycat, where have you been, I’ve been to London to see the Queen, Pussycat, Pussycat, what saw you there, I saw a little mouse run under a chair.
Epic, learn to see beyond your nose, quickly, and don’t relate serious issues to your own ‘mice’ when all around change, disastrous change, is occurring.
Certainly try to rise above your last post. It reeks of your personal subjectivity, when now, pressingly, we need objectivity.
Greg

C. Darwin was born over 200 years ago and people are still searching WHAT Darwin did/wrote or DID NOT DO!!! I do know that WE must appear to be BUSY, BUT (surely) there MUST be other 39 million years old of... millions of UNRESOLVED subjects of VERY DEEP discussions/arguments!! SHOULD WE try.....or......or.....!?!?? BE REassured that Pedro will be VERY eager and interested in reading the DEEP & meaningful posts ON ANY 39 millions year old subject!!

A cat goes to London, Buck Palace and all, and sees only a mouse. Brilliant allegory. Does it apply to me? Am I myopic about climate change? I don't know. I accept the science, but am a bit grasshopperish. Tend not to worry enough until it's too late. So far it's worked. Have been re-reading (after 54 years) A Canticle For Leibowitz; which some say is the best SF novel ever written. Talk about post-apocalypse. What a dystopia following the Flame Deluge. Climate's totally stuffed up, too.

Good evening Sediba,
Are you still connecting here? I'm hoping that you might have re-connected to the new Mens Shed online.
Along with some of the other fellows who wrote on the original MS site.
Cheers, Twiga
