Well an interesting day for the last leg Home safe after 3518 kms and a great AGM with really friendly and compatible people everywhere Started off at around 7:30 from Charters Towers, some mist round but the sun was getting high and it will burn off Ha. I should be a bloody weather forecaster Visibility 50 to 100 metres and in the hollows it was riding by feel No idea how many Kangaroubles or wobblies I passed let alone how many cattle. Cars coming usually had headlights on and stayed on their own side, nervous looks in the mirrors in case anyone wanted to shunt me. Then flashing headlights, amber flasher, wide load sign. Then the coppers on my side of the road everything flashing. Wisely I pulled completele off the road as the truck carrying a ginormous bulldozer sped past I swear the blade was just over my head (probably 12 ft up but this is my story) Heart a pumping next was the Minghela Range with very little visibility. Luckily it is fast and easy corners as I recognised nothing. Aha, the coastal plain so the mist will be gone. Nope- not until about 8:30 when I emerged into clear blue skies and a good run into Townsville Maccas for breakfast Rest of the trip home marred by endless roadworks that we had missed traveling inland but home and knackered at 2:30 I will search through my photos tomorrow and post any that do not need to be censored Next thing is to collect my little dog and the bloody cat from the kennels. Always feel better when my favourite bitch is home.

A long and enjoyable ride and AGM Wauri, with some interesting challenges on the road with fog, roadworks and the big machine which tried to give you a haircut. Enjoyable photos too. I hope your "little dog" and "bloody cat" are pleased to have you back home.

Leaving in about 10 mins Clem
Not sure to where but will know
When I get there somewhere
Quiet ans sheltered from the wind
If it decides to come and where I
Can light a fire to keep me warm n comfy
Cook me tucker on and contemplate the
State of dINGs tiny world and navel fluff
While I hopefully catch a fish or two

Sorry people I left on Tuesday in the ute towing the van for points west stayed the first night at Innot Hot Springs and soaked in thr mineral rich water Off Wed to Normanton, opposite the famous Purple Pub a croc near got me, i have photographic evidence of this But roads I have done many times before Thursday to Mt Isa where the old man chucked a wobbly because we weren't camping in the bush like he used to so I agreed to change from a park dwelling yuppie. Continued on today into the Northern Territory into new country for me and I have been fascinated by the changing country and the 50 m long 4 trailer road trains too. Wildlife in the form of eagles, crows, hawks kites and wild budgies and corellas is everywhere. Also saw a family of feral donkeys and today some cats. Not many roos as the country is very green in most places after the wet. I have taked a few photos and I will post some as I can. 180 kms until I turn north along the Stuart Hwy To Darwin. A bit more than half way now (2880 kms to Darwin from Cairns)
