Hi all still alive and on the roads back in qld yesterday and over nighter in Camooweal and today on to Julia Creek after topping up supplies at Mt Is a this is a big big country when you go inland hundreds of kilometres of different land and vegetation types but no sign of buildings at all tomorrow we go to Richmond and Hughenden on the dinosaur trail hopefully stopping at the museums then on to Charters Towers if there is enough day left then buddy again the back way to In not Hot Springs to soothe my aching back We are not mentioning locking the keys inside the cute either I can still break into a car though using a wire coat hanger

Watch out for those tricky dinosaurs around Richmond and Hughenden, Wauri. Some of 'em are just pretending to be dead but hop up an eat ya!

The travels of smith and father are finished for a little while Home today after spending a day in the hot waters of Innot Hot Springs Knee and back recovering. Bloody ute is a bit rough and restricted for big trips But my old man had a terrific time visitng all the old places he thought he would never see again. Now to think of where too next? Southern Cross Poker run is not until Sept May need a few days in here with old friends and the art appreciation society I am lucky to draw a breath and that is where it will stay.

I threatened some photos. This is Jedda's Leap in the Katherine Gorge from the 1954 movie notable for it's topless content well in advance of American cinema. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JeddaA lovely spot and worth the boat trip cost. We only travelled the first two gorges but they are supposed to be the better ones to see.
