You have tried 'Cruiser Customising', Turt?
They seem to have accessories for every bike under the sun.

A lady came around to answer an ad I had in Gumtree selling my bike trailer [tow behind]. She made an offer which I accepted. She asked how much deposit did I want to hold it and could she have a receipt. I held out my hand and when she shook it I said - that is the deposit and receipt right there. I am old school where a handshake is my word, and she is the same she tells me. So, deal done and she picks it up in couple weeks when her bike tow hitch is freighted and fitted to her bike. now, who wants to buy a Triumph ? - Only kidding!

Arrrrrr the good ole days handshake agreement, just how it ought to be.
So no more trailer towing Turtle? Just the two wheels, swag and billy...... or motels, pubs and cabins for comfort? :-)

Probably the swag for short overnighters and pubs for the longer stays I think, Clem. After taking a swag and fly for sleep arrangements when on my Ozzie ride I figured that is all I need, unless for longer stays in which case I would just pub it. I never boiled a billy or ate at the camps sites on my ride so figured that probably will not change much for now.

Okay lazy ass here got off it and made some mods to the sissy bar support so as it would fit on the bike with saddle bags in place. The problem was the after-market bags [K-Drive] did not have enough room in design to allow for the Triumph sissy bar when fitted. The bracket support for the sissy bar was interfering with the support for the bags. So, out comes the grinder, rat-tail file, and some paint. An hour and 1/2 later and the bike was in one piece with all fitted. Pics attached. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Thanks, Clem. I am not happy the way the sissy bar sits as it has a big bend in the lower section which makes it either sit too far back and covering the rack, or too forward where the pillion will be giving me bear hugs all the time. I have seen a bloke for a quote to do sumfin up a bit straighter. Here is a pic of the bar correct way round with rack on. Attachment Deleted

Had a coolant leak on the Bird recently so took it in for a fix at Redline in Mackay. Good service as they looked at it immediately and fixed under warranty. Was just needing a cuppla bolts nipping up and hose clamps retightened. I am not in favour of just tightening up coolant manifold bolts after leaks due to the mating surfaces may have some crap on them, but so far so good. Normally I would take the manifold off and check there is not trouble with mating surfaces and then reassemble. But hey, that is just me. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Interesting stuff Turtle, hopefully the fabricator bloke can get the sissy bar angle just right.
Hopefully the coolant leak is now solved.

I will take the 'bird' for a ride this weekend and see if it is solved. I had no coolant leaking when I brought it home after the mechanic so I hope all is okay now. I will also get a pic of the 'petpak' mounted on the rack and post here too.

The PetPak is fitted. It is not one of the biker type but is a pet-shop version. I only need it to take Rubes about 30km to the kennel where I will drop her off on route to Ballina. Saves having to driver her, than come back grab the bike and get going again. Will save about 1.5 hrs. Anyway, pics attached so ya can see what I have managed with existing rack. Heeeey little Rubes will enjoy her travels in the PetPak I reckon, Turt. Are you going to give her a test run? :-)

Have done that, Clem. She was very hesitant to get in the pak to start with but after a 24 km ride when I let her out she seemed very happy. When I put her back in she was all for it so looks like she enjoys it.
